The Mortgage Explorer is UK based. A FSA directly authorised firm of independent mortgage advisers offering whole market, when it comes to UK residential, commercial and buy to let mortgages. Its speciality is the Offset mortgage which it offers to mainly self employed professionals in UK health sector. It combines the offset residential mortgage to a commercial mortgage linked preferably to owner occupied premises in order to make £'000s savings for its clients.
On the International scene the company provides multi foreign currency mortgages to all nationalities wishing to purchase or re finance second homes. holiday homes & investment properties from Scotland to New Zealand and from Hawaii to Hong Kong. Its staff offers a multi lingual service to customers from English to Mandarin.

The Mortgage Explorer was founded in May 1999 by Louis d'Espagnac, a fully qualified Independent Financial Adviser at the time. Prior to founding this firm, Louis was the top adviser for Barclays Bank PLC (UK Southern Area). He had joined Barclays Life Assurance Ltd in October 1991, gaining all his financial planning qualifications in Feb'96. Prior to joining the UK financial services industry Louis d'Espagnac was a Ship's Captain. His last command was the World's largest refrigerated container ship at the time in 1989. Louis served 25 years in the Merchant Navy and travelled the World acquiring vast experience of various cultures and traditions, in doing so. Such travels now help him to advise other expatriates-as he was once, around the World, when it comes to raising finance for properties.
Louis was born and bred in Mauritius before attending Warsash School of Navigation, University of Southampton. He is multi lingual in 4 languages. He is married and is a practising Christian
